One Billion Dollars : Brickell City Centre [18 Images]
If you been in Brickell within the past 4 years you may have noticed a huge construction site located between 7th and 8th Streets on both sides of South Miami Avenue. Then came the other day, I heard it was finally opening up so I decided to go check it out and see what all the hype was about.
I started off on the South Miami Ave bridge which holds a nice view of Brickell.
From there I made my way to the billion dollar Brickell City Centre.
This place is insanely futuristic! Originally I thought it was a deluxe mall, turns out it’s that and much more. It also contains a upscale condo, a five star hotel, office spaces, and movie theater.
But don’t rush on over yet, only a few things are open right now and the movie theater is not one of them.
When I entered the premises I was blown away. The first thing that caught my attention was the canopy “climate ribbon”. This is the rooftop thing which I came to find out, it was designed to admit natural light while shading shoppers and channeling breezes from Biscayne Bay to cool them. I thought it looked cool.
I was so intrigued with the architecture of the building that I didn’t really notice which shops were open.
AZ3000 was with me on this mission. Who you think took that pic of me on escalator?
The interior space was nice. It had a inside feel with a outdoor breeze.
I really enjoyed taking these pictures.
Special thanks to the security at BCC. Seems like when I wear a Myami t-shirt everybody sees the vision.
