Eastern Airlines Building Demolition [9 Images]
Once upon a time there stood a building near the Miami airport that looked like some type of command centre. I drove past it many times acknowledging it but I never really thought much about it. Until one day I noticed it was being demolished.
This is how the building looked like up until 2015. Jason Snyder shot this picture in 1991.
After doing some research I found out the building was owned by Eastern Airlines, a major American airline which just starting operating again after being out of business for the past 24 years. They originally operated from 1926 to 1991.
Okay that’s enough history. So I was driving down northwest 36 street and I noticed they were tearing the building down and it looked awesome. Definitely my type of vibe!
Next thing you know I find myself knee deep in this beautiful wreckage. Check out that bathroom sink on the bottom right. Somebody probably washed their balls with that. Hahaaaa lol.
How cool! A bunch of pipes all discombobulated looking like a train wreck.
There goes that bathroom sink again. Very bottom right corner.
Behind the building stood another airport related building which seemed to be abandoned. I saw a few tags on it, one of them was “Ynot”. I should of photographed it.
Shortly after this mission they completely demolished the building.
Until next time!
