So theres this neighborhood in Myami called Edgewater which is located just north of Downtown and I think its cool. It has these streets that lead to Biscayne Bay which I always find myself hanging out at. Then came the other day. Me and a friend were cruising the area looking for a view and sure enough we found one. (more…)
Here is a set of out the car window photos from a drive Matt and me did leaving Key Biscayne at sunset. It starts in the parking lot of the abandoned Marine Stadium and moves over the bridge towards Miami. There was a nice view of the setting sun. (more…)
We decided to take a lap through the arrivals area of Miami International Airport to see what was going on there and who was arriving in Miami. This was also a chance to experiment with extremely high ISO and available light. Having driven through here many times I knew there would be an interesting mix of tourists and airport workers. The funny thing about the airport loop is that it is so easy to enter accidentally when you are attempting to exit the 112 expressway onto Le Jeune rd. This has happened to me a few times coming home late at night.
You may recall I was in San Francisco last month working with Richie Stackin. He brought me up there to document him judge and perform at the Hempcon festival which turned out to be a blast. We ended up filming 2 Stackin Daily vlogs and a music video for his “Dabs All Day” song which you will be seeing shortly, but before we put those out I thought it would be nice to give you a little glimpse of what life in the Bay looks like. I bet you want to visit after seeing this video below.
Approaching and passing by Downtown Miami coming from the south on I-95 provides a great view of Babylon on the Biscayne Bay. If you should decide to exit the expressway and enter into the concrete heart of Dade county commerce then you would take State Road 970. Also known as the Downtown Distributor. Built in 1968 this elevated expressway is slightly over half a mile long and connects I-95 with Biscayne blvd. Riding on it reminds me of a video game and provides some excellent urban scenery.
